I am a writing a history of my family for my children and was wanting to find
out what Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey was like in the early 1800's.
Thanks for this site, you've done a marvellous job. It is great and a I've got
some good information on the whole island. I have managed to trace family
back to William Jekens (or Jenkins) born in Queenborough in 1813. His father was
William Jekens but I have no information on him other than he was a mariner and
dredger. If anyone could shed some light on him, or let me know of someone I
could contact I would very much appreciate it. Thanks again for a great site.
