My grandparents lived on the island for all of their adult lives and lived in Waverley Avenue, Minster. There were 7 sons and 2 daughters. My grandfather Joesph Henry died in 1980, and Ann died in 1987 and are both buried in Halfway cemetery.
I visited reguarly as a child sledging on Bunnybank Hill (The Glen)and riding at Taylors Stables. I would be interested if anyone had anymore information or stories to tell
